If some of you remember me from a llllloooonnnggggg time ago when I was popular on mcorigins, you knew I was very active and helped others. (Not askin for a staff rank cus I suck at being one) But then before the mco 4.0 update, the io.netty bug happened to me. So I was like, okay just for a bit. And a month later I still had it. So I asked for help and nothing worked. So I started finding new servers and doing single player. But then, the main part of this thread, Minecraft broke! Whenever I run it, nothing happens. Any help here or something?
Re-installing minecraft should fix your problem if minecraft worked before on your computer. But remember, re-installing means you will lose worlds, server ips, and screenshots. Make sure to save the world and screenshot folders if you don't want to lose them As far as server, write down ips. I am not sure you can save a file for those lol
Deleting your .minecraft folder should remove all of your Minecraft data. Then just go to the official Minecraft website and re-install it. This should bring back .minecraft but at default settings (make sure to keep resource packs and worlds if you would like to )
